To help tell our story, expand our collection, and preserve the world’s falconry heritage, TAF now seeks a full-time
Communications & Outreach Manager to lead and empower our public relations efforts.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in communication roles, preferably in nonprofit or academic settings, and have broad familiarity with the practice of falconry and/or preservation of birds of prey. The position will be responsible for the design and production of digital and print content for websites, email campaigns, social media posts, public relations opportunities, event promotions, and press releases.

In collaboration with Archives’ staff and partners, the Communications & Outreach Manager will develop and implement strategies to help grow TAF’s membership; connect with receptive audiences at local, national, and international scales; and spread awareness about The Archives as a leading global research institution. The role will assist the Executive Director to design and implement successful fundraising campaigns, thinking and acting strategically in a competitive donor environment. Working on and off-site, this position will respond to general inquiries and assist with public interpretive work as needed to support regular visitors and scheduled events.

Position Title: Communications & Outreach Manager: Full-time (part-time candidate inquiries accepted)
Salary range: $56K to $70K/yr (or hourly equivalent for part-time candidates)
Duration: Permanent hire
Reports to: Executive Director, John M. Goodell

Location: Preferably residing in the Boise area to facilitate scheduled on-site work or hybrid remote/onsite schedule; but exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered for remote employment.
