The Archives of Falconry 2025 Renovation

The result of monumental efforts by a team of experienced designers and craftspeople led by TAF Executive Director John M. Goodell, a stunning renovation of The Archives’ public gallery now hosts thousands of visitors each month with an immersive and moving experience through the history of our ancient sport. And behind the scenes, our preservation and working areas have been upgraded to maximize the effectiveness of curatorial staff and protect our vast collection with state-of-the-art document security and fire suppression systems.

We set out to design a space that would inspire our falconry community while also engaging and educating our non-falconer guests. For this remarkable achievement, TAF would like to thank our members, donors, and Board leadership for their strong support.

We extend special thanks to the volunteers and skilled artisans who came together to make this long-awaited transformation a reality:

Robert Flood, Exhibit Designer (Bend, Oregon)

Francois Schneyder, Coalesce Concrete (Bend, Oregon)

Patrick Rummans, Taxidermist & Exhibit Consultant (Madras, Oregon)

Jason West, Exhibit Designer (Sequim, Washington)

Dustin Cockerham, Curator of Collections, High Desert Museum (Bend, Oregon)

CMYK Graphics, Exhibit Printer & Installer (Boise, Idaho)

Conor Bucalo, Steven Chindgren, and Brian Mutch, Falconer-Videographers

Dakkan Abbe, Director-Producer, Trivium Films (Northampton, Massachusetts)

Darryl Barnes & Paul Hutcheson, Volunteer Exhibit Installers (Boise, Idaho)
